Primary Perspective

This CME program devotes particular attention to the relationship between erectile dysfunction (ED) and benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH) with associated lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) and suggests how to improve both ED and BPH/LUTS when they coexist. The program also addresses issues on how clinicians can select a PDE5 inhibitor and dosage schedule based on individual pharmacokinetic properties of PDE5 inhibitors, patient and partner preference, and the couple's sexual routine. The faculty also provides valuable insight into how clinicians can educate patients about proper use of PDE5 inhibitors through communication and dialogue that puts the patient and his partner at ease.

This CME activity is approved for a maximum of 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. It is available for credit through September 30, 2008.
